Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily clinical operations within the Labor and Delivery unit to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Assist in coordinating patient flow, staff assignments, and prioritization of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams to support laboring mothers and their newborns.
• Provide clinical support and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, policies, and accreditation standards.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, patient safety efforts, and staff development activities.
• Deliver direct patient care when needed and support critical decision-making in emergencies.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required.
• Previous charge nurse or clinical leadership experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are required.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
