For: Contract 1st Line IT Support Engineer
Location: Onsite in Havant, Hampshire – 5 days per week
Duration: 3 Month Initial Contract
IR35: Small Company Exemption
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30am – 3:30pm (with a 30 min lunch break)
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP

 

Spectrum IT are working with a Havant-based client to recruit a Contract 1st Line IT Support Engineer. This is an onsite role providing front-line IT support to users, with a particular focus on maintaining and supporting a 3rd party booking application used by field service engineers to log and track their work.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st Line IT Support to local and remote users
  • Manage Active Directory administration including account unlocks and password resets
  • Support and maintain a 3rd party booking application used by service engineers
  • Handle day-to-day service desk tickets, logging, updating, and closing requests in a timely manner
  • Escalate issues when required, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Deliver professional, customer-focused IT support onsite

 

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a 1st Line IT Support or Service Desk role
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and user account administration
  • Familiarity with supporting business applications and software tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

 

Additional Information:

  • Fully onsite role based in Havant, Hampshire
  • Small company IR35 exemption applies
  • Interviews will be a single stage and immediate availability is preferred
