Job Specification

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the national Community Veterinary Programme.

• Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) and community medicine initiatives.

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of veterinary professionals.

• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with partner organizations, stakeholders, and community groups.

• Ensure all programmes operate to the highest standards of clinical care, safety, and efficiency.

• Manage programme budgets, reporting, and strategic planning to ensure sustainable growth and impact.

Job Requirements

• Full registration, or eligibility for registration, with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO).

• Minimum of three years’ clinical experience, with a strong background in HQHVSN or shelter medicine highly preferred.

• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

• Confidence in performing a wide range of surgical and medical procedures independently.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

• A deep commitment to community-focused services, public health, and equitable access to veterinary care.
