Job Specification
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the national Community Veterinary Programme.
Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) and community medicine initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of veterinary professionals.
Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with partner organizations, stakeholders, and community groups.
Ensure all programmes operate to the highest standards of clinical care, safety, and efficiency.
Manage programme budgets, reporting, and strategic planning to ensure sustainable growth and impact.
Job Requirements
Full registration, or eligibility for registration, with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO).
Minimum of three years’ clinical experience, with a strong background in HQHVSN or shelter medicine highly preferred.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Confidence in performing a wide range of surgical and medical procedures independently.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
A deep commitment to community-focused services, public health, and equitable access to veterinary care.
