Location: Dallas, TX | Hybrid (In-Office Required 4 Days/Week)
Our Dallas office is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 7 to 12 years of consulting engineering experience to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who is passionate about delivering innovative, high-quality electrical design solutions and is eager to grow with a dynamic engineering firm.
In this position, you will play a key role in supporting the electrical engineering group, contributing to complex projects across multiple market sectors, and coordinating closely with architects, contractors, and internal disciplines.
Design and develop electrical power and lighting systems for industrial, higher education, healthcare, and commercial projects
Prepare electrical and lighting plans, specifications, calculations, and technical reports
Perform electrical system modeling and analysis using SKM, ETAP, or similar software
Coordinate designs with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery
Participate in occasional site visits to support construction and field coordination
Support business development and marketing efforts as needed
Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing and team development
Demonstrate leadership potential by coordinating tasks across disciplines and projects
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university
Minimum of 7 years of relevant electrical engineering consulting experience
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (required)
Strong experience in power-focused electrical engineering and design
Proficiency in electrical and energy codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, and IECC
Experience designing electrical and lighting systems for a variety of building types
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and related design tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in interdisciplinary environments
Willingness to work in the office four (4) days per week
Ability to travel occasionally for site visits
Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering
Familiarity with local codes, standards, and permitting processes
Experience working with local contractors, architects, and construction practices
Experience with medium-voltage distribution, power generation, and protection systems
Lighting design experience
