Senior Human Resources Specialist TGTX
Job Summary
The Senior Human Resources Specialist supports and enhances the organization’s human resources function with a primary focus on employee relations and acting as a back-up payroll processor. This role partners with management and team members to address workplace concerns, ensures compliance with company policies and federal/state employment regulations, and provides HR support in staffing, benefits, compliance, and payroll operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, conducting investigations, resolving conflicts, and advising supervisors on corrective actions in alignment with company policies and applicable laws.
- Support the payroll function by serving as the back-up payroll processor, ensuring accurate and timely payroll in the absence of the primary processor.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records, including attendance tracking and absence reporting by department.
- Assist in the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
- Support staffing efforts for hourly and salaried positions, including screening, interviewing, and coordinating onboarding activities.
- Oversee new hire orientation and conduct HR-related training sessions as needed.
- Manage employee badge access and coordinate uniform orders.
- Prepare and distribute headcount and absenteeism reports for management review.
- Maintain positive communication and collaboration with managers and team members across all departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong background in employee relations.
- Experience with payroll processing preferred; UKG Pro or ADP experience a plus.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations (ADA, FMLA, EEOC, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
