The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the maintenance team across both shifts. This role ensures timely completion of preventive maintenance (PM), repairs, and continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives. The supervisor will drive safety, equipment reliability, and process efficiency while maintaining strong communication with internal customers and other departments. This position plays a key role in sustaining plant operations and supporting production goals through proactive leadership and technical oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, assign, and confirm daily maintenance activities for all shifts.
- Report daily equipment downtime, Kaizen progress, and problem follow-up sheet status during management meetings.
- Conduct audits of PM completion, including weekend activities, and provide daily status updates.
- Ensure proper execution of repairs and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Support a safe working environment by enforcing safety procedures and leading safety-related initiatives.
- Mentor and train maintenance team leaders and members to meet targets in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Machine Efficiency.
- Oversee the use and condition of tools and equipment; ensure proper 5S practices are followed consistently.
- Coordinate and execute internal audits and Kaizen projects in support of TGTX’s management systems.
- Assist with development and tracking of departmental expense and capital budgets.
- Supervise special projects and support other departmental priorities as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance shop management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and machine repairs (including overhauls).
- Proficient in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and using PLC systems for diagnostics.
- Ability to generate and present reports using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and nights as required by management.
