We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Sales Manager to lead our product sales division. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and support a high-performing sales team while driving significant revenue growth across the country. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Operations and play a key role in shaping our sales strategy and market presence.
MAIN PURPOSE
Develop, maintain, and support a product sales team to manage existing customer relationships and create new business opportunities. Actively promote and sell the company's products to achieve budgeted revenue and sales margin targets while ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Sales Leadership:
• Implement effective sales strategies to achieve national revenue and margin targets
• Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements
• Conduct market research to identify new potential customers and market opportunities
• Investigate and present new avenues of revenue to management
Customer Relationship Management:
• Establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with key customer stakeholders
• Negotiate and close agreements with large/key customers
• Provide comprehensive sales and customer support to existing and potential customers
• Ensure customers are well-informed about products and services
• Present products and services through demonstrations and consultations
Team Development:
• Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to sales personnel to enhance their performance
• Foster a culture of excellence and accountability within the sales team
Operational Excellence:
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting on budgeting, forecasting, branch performance, and customer visits
• Manage and control stock ordering processes
• Apply pricing structures aligned with sales and margin objectives
• Ensure quoting and invoicing is completed timeously
• Report on and assist in recovering outstanding debtors
• Communicate competitive pricing and discount requirements
Market Intelligence:
• Keep abreast of market and competitor trends
• Maintain and promote strong internal and external customer relationships
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Essential:
• Grade 12 certificate
• BCom in Marketing or Business Management
• Minimum 5-8 years' experience in sales within a similar environment
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
