We are recruiting a dedicated Optometrist to join our client practice in Cornwall. The role is open to optometrists seeking part-time work.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems, and providing tailored advice and treatments to patients. You will work alongside a fully trained optical assistant who will set up the clinic and complete all paperwork, as well as collaborate with dispensing opticians and support staff to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care.
Candidate Responsibilities.
- Advise patients on vision correction, eye health, and preventative care.
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye conditions.
- Educate patients on lens options, treatments, and lifestyle considerations for eye health.
- Diagnose and manage eye health issues, including prescribing spectacles and contact lenses.
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to professional and regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with optical assistants, dispensing opticians, and technicians to ensure accurate and efficient service.
Candidate Requirements.
- Qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, with strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
