Title: Purchasing Agent

Location: Onsite, Fairport, NY.

Summary: for source, negotiate, and purchase electronic components and all other materials.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate suppliers of electronic components, ensuring they meet quality and reliability standards. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future supply utilizing planning tools available in SAP
• Order materials for production from MRP
• Purchase raw materials, equipment, and supplies for customer orders and site operations
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams
• Ensure timely delivery of components. Expedite material from suppliers when required. Coordinate the return of the rejected material
• Stay informed about market trends, pricing changes, obsolescence of parts, and new suppliers in the electronics industry.

Experience: 4+ years of proven experience with purchasing and procurement in electronics and manufacturing.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field..

Compensation: Salary $65-85K depending on experience. Benefits plan.
