Our client, a rapidly expanding engineering and management firm (IEM), is seeking a highly self-motivated and experienced Senior Construction Scheduler/CPM Expert for immediate placement. The successful candidate will serve as the expert resource for all aspects of computerized project scheduling, ensuring projects remain on track and contractually compliant. This role demands deep technical knowledge and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-faceted construction timelines.
🔑 Essential Job Functions (What You Will Do)
Your primary responsibilities will focus on the preparation, analysis, and oversight of all project scheduling documents:
- Schedule Preparation: Prepare detailed project schedules directly from available plans and specifications.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor and review contractor’s baseline schedules and subsequent monthly updates, providing comprehensive written review comments.
- Impact Analysis: Prepare accurate Time Impact Schedules and conduct necessary analyses for delay claims.
- Compliance & Verification: Monitor contractor progress against the latest approved schedule and verify the accuracy of short-term (3-week look-ahead) schedules.
- Strategic Scheduling: Prepare parallel weekly schedules to support internal project management needs.
Required Qualifications – The Right Fit
This is a senior position requiring specialized expertise and significant experience:
- Education: 4-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience (Minimum): Minimum of 10 years of related work experience in computerized scheduling.
- Software Mastery: Extensive, demonstrated experience with Primavera P6 and Practical CPM scheduling. Familiarity with Sure Trak, Claim Digger, and Microsoft Project is also required.
- Core Skills: Proven ability to prepare schedules from scratch, analyze contractor schedules, and perform time impact analysis.
- Soft Skills: Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to read and interpret complex plans and specifications, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
