At Dale Talent, we connect driven professionals with roles where they can lead with purpose and impact. We’re currently partnering with a respected logistics and operations firm in Georgia that’s seeking a Senior Transport Manager to lead their transport operations.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives on operational excellence, team leadership, and delivering performance at scale.


The Opportunity:

As Senior Transport Manager, you’ll oversee the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the company’s transport operations. Managing people, processes, fleets, and compliance, you’ll ensure goods are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time — every time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day transport operations, ensuring effective route planning, fleet utilisation, and cost control

  • Manage a team of drivers, dispatchers, planners, and fleet maintenance personnel

  • Ensure full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and state regulations across all transport activities

  • Oversee vehicle maintenance programs and ensure fleet safety and reliability

  • Monitor and report on KPIs (on-time performance, cost per mile, fuel usage, delivery accuracy, etc.)

  • Implement and improve transport management systems and tools

  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external transport providers

  • Drive process improvement and cost-efficiency initiatives

  • Support hiring, training, performance management, and safety practices for all transport staff


Who We’re Looking For:

  • 5–10+ years in transport or logistics management, preferably in high-volume or time-sensitive industries

  • Strong leadership experience with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams

  • In-depth knowledge of federal/state transport regulations and compliance standards

  • Excellent planning, organisation, and analytical skills

  • Comfortable using TMS platforms and transport performance tools

  • Effective communicator and confident decision-maker

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Supply Chain or similar preferred
