Role Overview

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be an essential part of the operations team — ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. The role requires strong organisational skills, a focus on safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, move, and store goods safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.

  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer or production orders with accuracy and care.

  • Check and receive inbound deliveries, ensuring all products are correctly recorded and stored.

  • Carry out regular inventory checks and assist with stock rotation, replenishment, and quality control.

  • Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with all health and safety standards.

  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily performance and dispatch targets.

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Follow company procedures and safety protocols, ensuring the secure handling of all materials and products.


Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.

  • Comfortable using warehouse equipment (training provided if required).

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling orders or stock.

  • Physically fit and able to lift or move goods safely throughout the shift.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team.

  • Basic computer or scanner literacy for inventory or shipment tracking.

Desirable:

  • Forklift or reach truck certification.

  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or handheld scanners.

  • Familiarity with shipping documentation and order fulfilment procedures.
