About the Welder Fabricator Role

You will carry out MIG welding and general fabrication on heavy steel components, working from basic drawings to produce accurate and high-quality finished products. This role requires hands-on fabrication experience and the ability to work independently.

Alternative job titles include: MIG Welder, Fabricator Welder, Steel Fabricator, Plater Welder.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding on mild steel and heavy fabrications

• Working with steel structures, frames and bespoke fabricated components

• Reading and interpreting basic fabrication drawings

• Cutting, drilling, grinding and preparing materials

• General fabrication duties as required

• Maintaining workshop safety and quality standards

Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator

• Strong MIG welding skills

• Ability to work from fabrication drawings

• Comfortable working with heavy steel fabrications

• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
